Mario Testino’s royal photos in Boston

I know I have American visitors, so hopefully this article is of use for some of you.

From 21 October 2012 to 16 June 2013 The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston exhibits photos by Mario Testino. Since he took his first royal photograph in 1976 Mario Testino has regularly pictured the British royal family. The exhibition “Mario Testino: British Royal Portraits”, at the Herb Ritts Gallery 169, shows his picture of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry of Wales, the Prince of Wales and also some of the late Diana Princess of Wales. Most pictures have never been on show in the USA, so take your chance if you’re living not too far from Boston.

Additionally the Ann and Graham Gund Gallery at the same The Museum of Fine Arts shows the exhibition “Mario Testino: In Your Face” from 21 October 2012 to 3 February 2013. No royals, but lots of celebrities, and I am sure for who loves them, this exhibition is also worth visiting.

Furthermore the Gallery 170 at the museum features the exhibition “Kings, Queens, and Courtiers: Royalty on Paper. The exhibition shows how the royals and their courtiers were represented on paper from the 16th century to 1900.

Every Sunday from 4 November to 16 December 2012 (3 to 4.30pm) you can enjoy a “Royal-Tea” at the Bravo Restaurant at the museum.
